Today we are leaving Braintree
and travelling to London in order to start our German mountain/Christmas market
rail journey tomorrow. It was raining as
we left the Premier Inn and returned the hire car. They gave us a lift to Braintree station and
we bought our tickets to Kings Cross. We
had a little wait but the journey went OK.
At the end we followed the route we would be taking the next morning so
we were prepared for the early, next day start. We were soon ensconced in our next Premier
Inn. It was still drizzling and so we
unpacked the necessary for our one night stay and went to our local Costa for a
snack. We then took a stroll along
Euston Road to stretch our legs and enjoy the business of the city. We phoned our niece Roz and made the
arrangements for our meeting to have a meal together this evening. We relaxed for a short time, checking
football results etc, and then walked to

meet Roz for our 1900 meal. It was good to see Roz and catchup with news
and this time the tripadvisor recommended restaurant turned out to be very good
but the restaurant was warm and cosy. It
was soon time to return and we walked the 20 minutes back to our hotel and had
an early night because we have an early start tomorrow.
