Day 10 February 11th Aukland to Hamilton

Cathy, Jack ,Chris & Chris
The last couple of days have been very pleasant summer weather - sunny and temperatures in the range 75 - 85 F.  Today we moved on from Aukland and had booked a hire car to speed us on our way.  We had a lot of hassle over the arrangements but eventually were able to leave about an hour late.  Cathy (Ursula Martin's mum) had kindly invited us to lunch.  We were now behind schedule and it didn't help when we got lost but with the help of mobile phone directions we were able to get there.  Cathy and Mark (who was at work) have recently moved to this splendid large property near to Bombay Hills which was just off the main road.  We were greeted by Cathy and Jack the dog, neither of whom we had met, and made to feel very welcome.  After some chatting (particularly about handsome baby Elijah) we were treated to a delicious meal and pudding. There was some more chatting and photographs taken before we carried on our way to Hamilton.  This time the satnav found our destination which had a supermarket close by.  We are now staying at a motel and we used the shop to stock up on provisions for a snack tea.  We had a relaxing evening before retiring.
