Day 25 Wanaka

First off an apology for an omission on yesterday's blog.  As we were returning from the glacier along the path to the bus park we met two of Tim Allsopp's regular diving visitors.  They were as surprised to see us as we were them.  They are coming to St. Martin's at Easter and so we shall next meet in very different circumstances!

Today has seen a marked change in the weather and scenery.  We have seen cloud, forest, beaches, swamp, mountains, snow, water falls, lakes and towards the end clear blue skies with the temperature in the high 20s.  The journey was quite smooth, about 150 miles and we stopped several times to take in the scenery and snap the views.

A lot of pictures but we have ended up on the very pretty Lake Wanaka.

  1. Beautiful scenery. Fancy meeting people you know - isn't it a small world? Christopher, your dad would be proud of you as he reckoned he didn't go anywhere without bumping into someone he knew (when he stayed with us in Malta he saw someone he worked with)!
We hope you are having a brilliant time.
