Day 28 Queenstown

Our second of three days in Queenstown dawned dry but cloudy.  After breakfast we walked the 2km pathway into town and had a look at the gardens which had the fountain. We then had a further browse, did some shopping and had a sit by the quayside and enjoyed a drink watching the local activity.  We then walked the 2km back.

The afternoon was spent sorting ourselves out with clothes and improving our seats for the flights home.

Earnslaw
We had booked a cable car ride up a mountain for the evening with a meal in the restaurant at the top.  The view was stunning with the mountains and the town seen at a different perspective.  Down below we could see as well the SS Earnslaw - a 1912 steamship which plies up and down the lake - which we have booked a trip on tomorrow.  We are looking forward to it.

  1. Yet more beautiful photos, thanks for all the blogs - makes us smile every day! What a wonderful holiday. So you have improved your seats for the flights home - does this mean you will be flying first class!! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Lots of love, Ian and Ruth xx
